To what extent is it possible for the comic book to develop as an adult medium?
The comics worst offence is their blood-curdling masculinity (marston) discuss.
Can a graphic novel or super hero ever be satisfactorily adapted to film or television?
Which question would be best to do? which do you think there would be most information about?! does anyone know much about comics?
Thanks guys.

There is no extent for a comic to develop into an adult medium. If it’s gory, then it’s an adult medium. If it’s crude, as in the sense of smut, then that’s adult medium. But simple blood, like small amounts of blood from a gunshot wound or a stab is not considered as blood in an adult medium.
There’s no real offense in comics, because there are numerous ways to insult a person or make them feel revolted from watching or reading the comic or film. There are many people with different tastes. The worse offense to comics however, is when the comic put in film does not satisfactorily meet the basics in plot, setting and characters of the original comic. The personality of the characters are an important factor to how they will react as a superhero or whatever role they have.
Crap. Didn’t see the questions at the bottom. lol… I would do the third one, because it’s easier. much easier than the first one. The second one… i dunno what you were trying to ask. well… the third question is also incorporated to the second answer.
No, a comic cannot be satisfactorily adapted to film without the perfect characters, plot/storyline, and setting. The original artist’s or writer’s characters cannot be fully explained in precise detail so that the director of the film can make a character to be exactly like what the creater described them as. Then it leads off to the actors/actresses that act out these characters. They each have a different personality they convey to the film or camera, so that’s a factor that makes it impossible for comics to adapt to film satisfactorily. If the story is off, well then, the story’s off and you don’t get the exact feel and story of the comic. If you don’t have a good setting, it alters the story of the comic quite a bit.
So the main factors you have to consider for a comic to be satisfactorily adapted into film are characters, plot, and setting.
sorry if i wrote a lot. ahaha.
