   Because when you film it, it becomes speech. Laws attempting to ban filming porn have been passed many times all over the place, but they all fail, because of first-amendment protections.

   Because prostitution puts women in danger. Prostitutes are often mistreated or killed. I haven’t heard of any stories of injury or death in the adult film industry. Adult film is a business, they test themselves often and usually wear protection. Prostitution is a haven for spreading disease.

   Similarly, who do womens groups support abortion, but oppose prostitution??? Why are women allowed to do what they want with their bodies for an abortion, but they can’t do what they want with their bodies for prostitution? Looks like a liberal double standard to me.

   It is rather silly.
   It depends greatly on the state. Here, in DC, there is no difference in the law between prostitution and hardcore porn.

   it makes perfect sence, because prostitutes are putting themselves in danger and actors arent.
